EA Strong Stream Advice

Issued 08th January 26 STRONG STREAM ADVICE NOW IN FORCE.

This River Advice for boaters is for: River Nene between Northampton and Peterborough for the purpose of navigation.The Strong Stream Advice has been issued and several locks on the river are closed to navigation are are being used to discharge flood waters. The Environment Agency advises that navigation is not possible and advises against attempting to boat on the river as flows are above normal and head room at some sites will be reduced. In an emergency, contact the EA on 0800 80 70 60 stating you are the Anglian Region. Please note, that whilst every effort is made to update this warning on our website as soon as we receive it from the EA, sometimes this is not possible so please check with the EA 0345 988 1188 (opt 1:quick dial code 032112) before making a journey.
